The Rolling Stones Monuments

The Rollright Stones are a group of about 25 Neolithic and Bronze Age standing stones, sited at the edge of the village of Long Compton in Oxfordshire. There are many legends surrounding these stones. One legend tells us that they are an unusual and unique type of monument, as they resemble no other known stone circle or barrow in Britain. The Rollright Stones Monument is one of the largest collections of different types and ages of standing stones in England. Well worth a visit while staying at The Cotswold Water Park in accommodation provided by The Cotswolds Retreats Company
